Reduce Landscape Excel Spread sheet and

I am revising work instructions for my work group. One of my co-workers created an Excel Spread sheet on 8 x 14 inch paper. I want to know how to get the same page reduced down to 8 x 11 keeping the same landscape format, but showing is landscape format in a Word document that is Portrait. You still have to turn the page side ways to read it, but when I use Insert, then Object, it give me the information overlapped on the page that is unreadable.
