Refilling toner cartridges

I have a Brother HL-5370DW printer. Recently, I saw several YouTube videos and read a PDF that gives me the impression that refilling it’s toner cartridge is a straight forward DIY project. Does anyone have experience refilling their Brother toner cartridges? Is it a straight forward process? Where did you purchase the toner? Thanks for your input.
