Regular backup of windows server

I have windows server 2008 web edition running few very important websites. It crashed within few days of setup and I had to re-setup all the websites and these website went offline for few days and I also lost changes to the websites. What is the best way to backup my web server data (websites and databases)? Probably remotely?
