regular psp battery turned into pandora battery

yeah, i saw some youtube videos on people using somekind of files/programs to turn a regular psp battery (like the one that comes with a psp 3000 core pack) into a pandora battery

im looking to do the same to my own, but on some walkthrough’s, they say i should have a spare battery and pro duo psp mem card handy; why do i need one if i am going to turn my psp battery into a pandora battery?

anyways, can anyone give me some steps on how to do this;on how to “softmod”-i guess that’s the right term- my regular psp battery into a pandora battery? i tried asking this question on another forum site, but ever since they moved to a different server, its like no one is there anymore

also, my psp is a psp 3001 (American version)
