I have two DC?s in separate locations, first DC (w/FSMO?s) is a 2K box w/exchange 2K, second box is a 2K3 DC (GC, DNS, WSUS) w/exchange 2K3. The 2K3 box (and 2K box) has been fully patched to latest service packs and all changes (domain/forest prep on both boxes) have been replicated throughout domain. I?m trying to get exchange on the new 2K3 box to send/receive properly with internal and external emails. Currently, only mailboxes on the 2K3 box can send/receive to only others on the same mailbox store. The users on the 2K3 box can send emails to external email address, but can only receive emails from local users in there same mailbox store. When users w/outlook connect to the 2K3 box, receive turns an error saying object not found. I need detailed instructions on how to modify the recipient policies as well as SMTP connector on both mailbox stores and/or exchange site for both boxes to have full send/receive functionally for internal/external emails.
