Reloading Vista from attempted Win 2K Server install – Error!

It’s a DELL Inspirion 531, came with Vista Home Premium. Got corrupt and we decided to just load Win 2K Server. Got it loaded but none of the components have drivers for Win 2K, so tried to reload Vista and got error code 0xE0000 100 and had to abort install.
How can I reformat the drive for Vista, which is the only fix I can think of? DELL Support was useless! Drive is SATA.
Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.
