Relocation of synch files on a new serv

Our company have about 150 offline laptop users and we are about to relocate there synchronized files to a different server, my problem is that when we move the location they are currently synchronizing to the new one, windows wants to synchronize all the files on the new location, this is a problem for us do to some people have more than 1 GB of files on there synch folder. Any one have a solution so it will only synch the new or change files without having to do the whole synchronization for all users.
