Remote Access

Hello,
We are running windows 2003 server with service pack1 and exchange server with service pack2.We name our domain name is xxx.com
On Client side is outlook 2003

1. VPN: we can connect our server but we cannot retrieve emails using vpn- sever cannnot connect, exchange serve is not availbale.
What i did i added FQDN name on the lmhost and host. I restrarted. Still same issue.
Now i cannot even dail up to retrieve the mail.
before atleats i can retrieve mails uisng dial up access.
