remote access restriction

Hi, how do you get around the restriction when you have two pc (both xp home sp2) networked together, sharing, but there’s a remote restriction on both side. I was able to remote pc #2(xp pro) BEFORE, using #1 (xp home) as main, both pc are now sharing files, but i can’t to remote either one. Ping both pc is successful, and even PCanywhere is unable to connect on both end. and yes firewall are disabled.
Any ideas? thanks in advance.
