I have a number of clients whose systems I can connect to via RAS on a dial-up connection. I have a broadband Internet connection at home, though, and would like to find some way to utilize this to connect to these remote systems (so that I don’thave to tie up my phone line all the time).
It is unlikely that the clients would switch to a VPN solution. Some can’t justify the expense, others don’t have Internet access readily available.
My initial thought was to use Net2Phone (or asimilar service) through which you can make phone calls via a PC connection. However, I haven’t been able to find a modem that can recognize to use this, or else a “virtual” modem that would utilize one of these services.
Has anyone else founda good way (or even any way) to access a dial-up RAS using a PC connection? Thanks.
