Remote Assistance

I am having trouble getting my remote assistance to work Windows XP Pro. Every time I send or receive an invitation the request always times out. I’ve tried it through both windows messenger and msn as well the manual way none of which worked. My firewall and router are both set to allow remote assistance, it’s turned and all the services it needs are functioning any ideas one how to fix this issue. Thanks for the help.
