I have a computer that is connected to the internet through Bellsouth FastAccess DSL with a Westell B90-610030 modem. I’ve been trying to remotely connect to my mother and a friend’s computer using the Windows XP Remote Assistance feature and Netmeeting, We all have the same modems and DSL service and Windows XP, but I have a Netgear Rangemax router with three XP pcs and a Win98SE laptop . I’m unable to connect to neither of their computers, but my cousin has a dial up ISP service and WinME, with netmeeting I can contol his pc and he can control mine with no problem, but why cant me and my mother’s pc’ connect, My pc on metmeeting say’s she is not accepting calls when I call her, When she tries to call me her pc say netmeeting cannot call itself, Since my cousin and his dial up pc connect with no problems I cant blame it on the router. We all have Norton’s Firewall also, which I dont think is the problem either because of my cousin.
