remote desktop printers

Is there a way to limit the number of printers a remote session redirects. I know you can limit to just the default printer, but that will not work for my situation. I have clients connecting to my server with 25 printers. I am currently over 1000 printers on my server and it appears to be causing the server to hang for seconds at a time.
