Remote Desktop Web Connection

Guys,

Am having an issue with Remote Desktop Web Connection.

Here is the background :-

1. I got a static IP address from comcast.
2. Turned my machine into DC with domain name.
3. Enabled remote Desktop Web connection on the machine
4. am getting the connection console screen on the server machine through IE.
5. Now, when i try to connect remotely from one of my laptops to the server using the statis ipaddress and specific port number am not able to .

I tried testing with www.canyouseeme.org, test was unsuccessful. So kindly assist me further.

Its emergency for me and btw should i use VPN to get connected to this server machine if am accessing outside of my domain network.
