Remote Office point to point to HQ AND DSL to internet

I have a quandry to solve and would appreciate some views. We have a new setup ina remote office that is connected to the head office via a point to point network. I also have a DSL connection to the internet.
Question is how do I have the servers use the point to point as a default Gate Way and also have a gateway to the internet?
I have been told to add a static route to the internet on the DNS server at the remote site and use that as the Gateway on the other servers. However I can’t get this to function.
