Remote PC connection by using VPN via internet

Hi all,
Can anyone help me for the following issue:
1. I need to connect 2 PC in different location. Both PC have internet connection. How can i share the resouces from 1 PC to another.
2. If i want to use VPN, can anyone advice me the procedure to do it?
