We have a box that was connected to a number of novell servers, we switched over to a Windows domain and for a while we were logging into the local box only through the Novell client and Windows file and printer sharing was working fine and the computer was fully visible on the domain.
To cut a long story short, the Novell client was causing some issues, so we uninstalled the Novell client and now the box is not visible on the domain and cannot connect to any shared printers.
We have uninstalled and reinstalled the Windows file & printer sharing service, and have verified that the TCP/IP and DNS settings are the same as all other computers on the domain. We are able to ping the domain controller and the exchange server and internet connections are also fully functional.
