I have an Exchange 2003 domain that has been migrated from an Exchange 5.5 server. I have gone through the process of removing the 5.5 server when I noticed that the SRS database was corrupted. There is no backup to restore. I know I can go into adsiedit and manually remove the Exchange 5.5 server but I will need to delete the SRS object from the Exchange Org and uninstall the ADC. (can’t remove the ADC with the SRS object still configured) When I went to delete the SRS object it told me I could not while the Exchange 5.5 server was still present. The Exchange 5.5 system manager will not start without the SRS service started and utilizing a functional database. My question: If I manually delete the Exchange 5.5 server using adsiedit will I then be able to delete the SRS object?
