Removing Crashed DC

Hi,

So we had a Windows 2000 server Crash that was our PDC. We also have a Windows 2003 server taht is a DC as well. It looks like the PDC is done and I will probably be looking to install a new 2003 server instead of getting the 2000 box back up. Right now I am getting a lot of errors NTDS.

Do I just run Ntdsutil and remove the PDC and then the Win2k3 DC will handle any roles that were previously handed by the old PDC? Are there any potential issues i should be aware of or some other changes I will need to make first?

I am kind of a newbie when it DC’s so any help would be appreciated.
