Hi…recently purchased new server and it has been joined to the existing domain. Currently it is a PDC along with the old Server. All settings have been transferred to the new Server but I am having major problems. I have over 150 pcs on the network which I want to re-image but they do not seem to recognise the new DC (in particular, they do not recognise username or password). The old Server has not been demoted and I am wondering if this causing a conflict, however DHCP has been disabled on the old Server. When I check settings both are still running Active Directory. I did not build the Server, I had a Microsoft Tech build and join it to the Domain (he has since gone on holidays and I need this network up and running for the first day back at school). How do I make my new Server the Domain Controller and relegate the old Server to BDC.
