I am currently running a Windows NT 4.0 Domain. There are 6 BDC’s and of course 1 PDC. I am running service pack 6a on all NT 4.0 machines. There is one server accross the WAN (T1) and the rest are local.
The problem that I am having with replication is that 2 of the 6 BDC’s are not replicating. One of them is accross the WAN the other is local to the office. There are no errors in the event logs of any of the Domain Controllers, with regards to replication. I have rebooted both servers twice. I have stopped replication completely and recreated it. I have checked all permissions, and I have even gotten to the point where I have granted my repl account full controll on the NTFS permissions of the Repl directory and full controll of the shares Repl$ and Netlogon. I have double checked that the account is in the Backup operators group and has the right to log on as service. I have entered the account with its correct password in the directory replication service, I have set import/export initially with just the PDC, and recently have become so desperate, I have added the entire domain to the list. I have checked that the time on all servers are set to the same time.
