Reprairing IP address after reboot…….

by mmcelfi . Updated 19 years, 1 month ago

I have no problem in accessing the internet. Everytime I restart my pc, I have to repair the ip address to access the internet. I get the same error msg when I try and repair my network connection “Windows cold not finish repairing the problem because the following action can not be complted: Cleaning the ARP Cache”. After I manual release and renew the IP address, I can access internet. My question is HOW TO GET RID OF THIS ERROR MSG & WHY I HAVE TO DO A IP REPAIR EACH TIME I RESTART MY PC ? I tried all commands of ipconfig dns flush, arp “-d, -a”, MS KB, netsh interface ip delete arpcache, and all possible troublehooting from all forums. But still cannot solve this nagging problem. If it means anything, I just switched from AOL DSl to Comcast cable and this is when the error started. Can anyone help me out???
