Here is the senerio. I have a Windows 2003 server (not setup as a domain) and Windows 7 PC’s. I want to setup a shared folder on the windows server but require a password each time it is accessed. We have multiple people using a single PC and I want to setup a link to the shared folder but only certain people to be able to view it. I know I can setup permission on the server, but my problem is once the person who has the username and password logs into the folder, after he closes the folder, then next person who opens it can view it also since it save the creditials. I don’t want to have to log off each time. Is there a way to password protect a folder that requires a password each time it is opened (like the old days when you could put a password on a windows 98 folder)?
