reseting bios password

my friend gave me a acer(aspire 3610) for repair.Its been flooded with virus for a 3 mnths.that what he said.The problem is I cannot reset bios password.And the virus did take over as the administrator.Is it possible that the virus got inside the bios?I tried taking it appart parts by parts and leaving it for 12 hours but still the bios pasword didnot reset.Any suggestion?
