Rest registry HP oem without rec dsks

Hi
I have a HP Pavilion notebook dv8320us on the bench. The battery went dead and when I reboot I get this error.
STOP: c0000218 {registry file failure}
The registry cannot load the hive
\SystemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE
or its log or alternate.
It is corrupt, absent, or not writable.
Beginning dump of physical memory
Dumping physical memory to disk: __%
I want to restore the registry to an earlier one. The computer will not boot into any mode using F8. I do not have OS disk and no recovery disks. They where never made and I get an error 20 when I try and make them from “CD Creator.exe” on the HDD.
Any suggestions.
