Restore Folder

I have two pcs-one with XP on it and the other ME. I came up with a trojan LOCATED in my restore folder in XP.
Must be protected from getting deleted. I was told to go into safemode, turn system restore off and then run Trojan Remover or simply delete bad file if TR does not work. Where are these sure ’nuff hidden folders hidden at? Thanks.
