I have to restore my harddrive because it is not recognizing my cd and dvd drives. It is 2 months old and Best Buy technican tested it and said I would have to erase the drive and start anew. He failed to tell me how and I have been trying to figure out but xp is not very helpful. I can not use the Restore CD since it is not recognized. It was considered my fault since I was trying to install a third drive and I guess computer got confused. I should have just removed the one DVD drive and installed the DVD writer in that spot. Could you tell me how to make a reboot disk in windows xp and do I need a windows xp disk since I did not get one with the computer?
I have a vpr Matrix pc with Pentium(R)4CPU 2.40GHZ
512 MB of RAM.
