Restoring a single file

I have novell 4.2 small buisness/ intranetware novell server.
i am using sbackup utility for backup and restore
of data.
backup time taken is ok. working properly.
Restoration of the full data takes normal time.
But restoration of single file takes very long time about 2-4 hrs. some time it take whole day.
How can reduce my time for restoring a single file. what are the necessary things to check
for the same at my server.
Also, let me know whether i should go for any third party utility. if so what are …
