I recently had to change our server from smtp relay to our own setting of send email using DNS. Since I made this change I am now having some issues of returned emails with error:
There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient’s email server. mydomain.com #5.5.0 smtp;550 — All varied messages.
When I look on the Exchange Server I notice many messages in the que with same error, also error’s with: The connection was dropped due to an smtp connection sync; and the connection was dropped by the remote host.
This just started since we changed over to use dns. Its only on messages going to specific domains such as road runner and mac.com –
I am running SBS 2003 w/ Exchange – our mail server has a different ip than our domain name, but the dns is all correct on the exterior with our dns host. Is there something I need to change on the server internally?
