reusing license

I have Groupwise 5.5, and novell 32 client. What happened was I was trying to delete a user to add a new user and it registers the new user in novell but not groupwise. Also the user I deleted still shows up in the addressbook, even though I do not see the user name in netware administrator. I have done it before, and has worked fine but now it is so confusing. Please help if you can. Thanks
