Revoring Files After Re-installing XP

would be grateful if anyone can help with this problem.

i have had to completely re-install XP (after a “blue screen”). So far, so good.

Now i want to recover my Files and Folders from a disk – which was previously backed up using Norton Save & Restore.

However, the “new” computer does not read / recognise the old backups – i believe the computer was “renamed” during the Windows re-intallation.

Now i cant get the “new” computer to recognise the “old” backups !!

have tried the Norton Help files – but cant seem to find anything relevant.

any help appreciated
