Roaming Profile

I am trying to use a roaming profile on a user and every time he logs on he
gets the local profile I have checked that the roaming profile is set up properly and have it pointed to the UNC where the profile resides. I have even blown away the localprofile and it still loads with a local default
profile. what am i doing wrong ?
