Roaming Profiles & Word2007 Quick Access Toolbar

It appears that Word2007 stores its Quick Access Toolbar settings in file called WORD.QAT which is stored under the folder %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Office. Because the data on our profile server would grow to ridiculous sizes if we permitted the roaming of the Local Settings folder, it is suppressed from roaming. Correct me if wrong, but I think most organizations handle roaming profiles in this manner.
Anyhow, the impact being that Quick Access Toolbar settings are not following the user. Has anyone encountered this and come up with a genious work-around for it.
