I am using Robocopy v1.96 (W2K Res kit) to backup (Push) files from multiple NT4 and W2K Pro and server, computers to a SNAP server in a central site.
In most sites this works without a problem however I have a few sites where I get the error(s) “The system cannot find the path specified” and/or “There are no more files”
The path is definitely correct. When I use xcopy to move the same files (and cancel part way through) it works OK, Strangely when I run the robocopy script again, It works and will update the files that have been xcoppied, however gives the same error when it reaches new files (the ones not xcoppied).
It seems that robocopy can’t create the files at the destination. It can’t be permissions as xcopy can create the files no problem.
The following is a line from the log file…
ERROR 18 (0x00000012) Scanning Destination Directory \\XXXXXXSNAP01\backups\XXXXXXX\DATA\
There are no more files.
