Router coonflicting IP address even though it isn’t

by rich.ball . Updated 18 years, 10 months ago

Hi..
r
I have a netgear DG something adsl modem/router..the router is configured with our IP address and also an internal 192.168.1.2 address..I have a win 2003 server with 192.168.1.1 my problem is everytime i restart the router the server comes up saying that there is an ip conflict with the routers mac address as the culprit..there is no reference to 192.168.1.1 in the router at all so i dont know why it is saying this..if i change the routers address to 192.168.5.2 it still says the same on the server????

I am trying to get port forwarding to work and it isn’t working so im thinking that this is the reason so any help with this would be great..

Thanks in advance

Rich
