Routing and Remote Access

Routing and remote access on Exchange 2010. Kind of new to the whole world of routing and remote access.

Right now i have a 2008 server that has AD installed and the only domain controller. It also serves as the exchange server (2010).

When i attempt to install routing and remote access, it installs ok. But when the service is started Active directory and exchange management console refuse to open, and i cannot send/recieve email. As soon as i turn the routing and remote access service off, exchange and AD work perfect.

Am i missing something in the configuration of routing and remote access?

Or will it not work on the same server as exchange 2010?
