Rpc Server Is Unavailable msg when I try SFC

XP PC was hit by virus, virus is cleaned out, but getting a blue screen and boot loop when in normal boot, safe mode boots ok. Tried to run sfc in safe mode and got the RPC server is unavailable error and SFC shut down. Any ideas?
