rpc/vpn access issues

by mstovold . Updated 19 years, 3 months ago

We currently use the following method to access corporate network:

Outlook uses RPC on port 443

IPSEC/PPTP autentication on Watchguard Firewall for file/application access

We are moving to a manged solution and we are testing with the ISP who is providing us with the solution
We are currently testing connectivity with the new network:
Using thier Safenet IPSEC client sware I can connect and ping all servers at both our locations from the Internet but Outlook will not connect either using the VPN or by RPC. As mentioned before I can ping the ip address of the internal mail server, just one backend server for email.

ISP has told me that they have a one to one NAT working from an external IP address to the email server and I can ping that.

ISP is saying they have opened up all ports for access

We also use mailmarshal which listens on port 25 and then relays to th email svr on port 97 (standard mail marshal config)

Any ideas if this is related to internal network or ISP packets being rejected or any other advise would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Martin
