S and P keys not working on Inspiron 1501 Keyboard

The S and P keys are not working on my Inspiron 1501 keyboard. (approx. 18 months old). They will show up if you hit the shift key with it, but not alone. We ordered a new keyboard from Dell, but the problem still exists – anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?
