We have sent out a RFP for a 2+ TB SAN with backup. I have read that standard SAN equipment comes with a standard software such as : Array Management Software, Array Disaster Recovery Software, Switch Management Software, Backup software etc. So licensing for this software is included. My question is this, does each server that you add to the SAN need an additional license? So if I place a RFP for a SAN with 7 servers, if I add an 8th server next week, will there be a license charge to add this hardware to the SAN?
