SAP & RIP IPXRTR errors between servers

by epait . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

I just installed an already configured GroupWise 5.5 server from our other remote office to the main office. I had to move DNS/MX records to our DSL provider and configure IP/subnet mask on the GroupWise server. It is right next to my Netware 5.0 server and email is working but the systems are both getting the following IPXRTR errors:

RIP router configuration error detected
Node 000A0C911296C claims network address 0000001A should be 1289A093.

SAP router configuration error detected
Node 000A0C911296C (WOPCPA_GBO)claims network address 0000001A should be 1289A093

My Netware server is running the following frame types:

Ethernet 802.2
Ethernet II

My GroupWise server is running the following frame types:
Ethernet 802.2
Ethernet 802.3
Ethernet II
Ethernet SNAP

GroupWise had been installed by a contractor at the other office.

My network has to run both IP and IPX due to printer connection and a CD tower that only communicates via IPX.

Can I remove all the frame types on the email server except Eternet II. Clients all connect to email via IP.

thanks,
Rob
