Save a network in Vista Ultimate

After setting up a wireless connection in Vista, i previously could see that network listed in the network and sharing centre, under manage wireless networks. Lately that is not the case. Everytime that i need to connect wirelessly, I need to set the wireless connection up again, although vista ask to save the network everytime and I said yes. Vista Businees on the laptop does not have the same problem. In the beginning it worked fine on the desktop. Can you help?
