SBS 2003 & MS-DOS

We have a msdos machines that run machine control software for our company. The DOS machine accesses files from our current NT server. We are getting ready to remove the NT server and replace it with SBS2003. My question is, does anyone know how a MSDOS machine can log onto SBS 2003 to access files? Has anyone come across any articles?
