Scanning very long and narrow thermal receipt papers

by mihajlosavkic . Updated 8 years, 4 months ago

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a way to scan thermal receipt papers that are very long (~20 meters), and very narrow (44 mm).

I am aware that Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i can take ~3 meters which could work (I could split the receipt papers), however, I just learned from the authorized reseller that this scanner cannot take such narrow paper, as the wheels that grip the paper inside the scanner are wider than the receipt paper I need, which will make the scanning very difficult.

I would very much appreciate a recommendation on the specific scanner that can perform such a task, or a way to overcome the mentioned issue with ScanSnap (maybe there is a smaller version that has narrower wheels? or a way to adjust the width of the receipt rolls or wheels inside the scanner to do it?)
