I have not been able to figure out how to configure Windows 2000 to be capable of doing and unattended auto dial of My ISP via a dial-up-networking job within Task Scheduler.
At this time the only way I’ve been capable of coming close to this is to schedule Internet Explorer in Task Scheduler to auto start at a specific time which will evoke a dial-up, then have Task Scheduler to kill the IE Scheduled task at a pre set time. This is a pretty clunky way of going about having this system goonline to grab time off a atom time server.
Under Windows98 and WindowsME I could do this successfully by creating a batch file that goes like this “START RUNDLL32 RNAUI.DLL,RnaDial exact name of dialer entry”. Then in Task Scheduler, schedule the specific time I wanted this batch file to perform the auto dial in to My ISP, which by passed using a brower to complete the task.
I would appreciate any ideas.
Thanks
