Scheduled Tasks will not run

For some reason Scheduled Tasks will not run on one of my NT servers. I installed IE 5 in order to get the shceduled tasks function but it does not work at all. I get the error message of “Could Not Start”. Do I need to apply SP6a again in order to correct this problem?
