Scheduling appts in a Doctors office

Is it possible to use Outlook 2000 or 2002 with Exchange 2000 or 2003 to schedule appointments for patients in a doctors office? There are many 3rd party software applications but they are trying to stay within MS SBS. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
