Screen Resolution Reversal Problem

I have just installed an ATI Radeon 7500 pci graphics card into a Win98SE system. The resolution is set at 480 x 640 rather than 640 x 480 and therefore the screen image is narrow on the horizontal. I have used this make of card on other systems andthis problem has never occurred before. How can I reverse this to cure the problem?
