script to put icons on desktop

hi im currently in the process of creating a automated install of windows xp and am wanting a script to put the icons for my computer and my documents on the desktop. i dont want them to be the shortcuts but the actual icons themselves. i know how to do it manually (display properties>desktop>customise>then select which icons you want) but i would like to do this via a .bat script. help please?
