Scripting across reboots?

I want to create some kind of lightweight script that will run a series of 3rd-party benchmarks and record the results in a text file. It also needs to be able to reboot between each benchmark and continue, unattended.

I’m kind of at a loss as to where to begin. Does anyone have any advice?
